Isn't it beautiful? Fat buds cover that entire little tree and they will soon be exploding into lovely snow-white flowers just like this one. There are buds covering the other camellia, too, but it always blooms later. Those flowers will be a gorgeous deep scarlet, a color that always stuns me, even though I've seen it before.
I hope to catch up with everyone's blogs soon. I've been busily writing with the feathers, churning out work for several different publications and a book publisher. One new pub (new to me, anyway) is interested in the possibility of monthly pet articles from me! That will be fun.
I hope everyone is well, healthy, and as busy as you want to be! The parrots are impatiently waiting to make their entrance into the blogisphere and I've promised them it will happen…SOON! So stay tuned.

We have had the first nice weekend and went out into nature.
Lucky for us, we do not have to drive far to be in the most pristine nature surounded by snow caped mountains.
Spring is coming, everywhere the flowers come out and the first insects are buzzing.
It is a magical time for me, a time of renewal and glory.
This is a nice picture of a beautiful flower and speaks volumes about the spring, pure, virgin white and inocent.

It's been more than 10 years since I've seen snow but we have had plenty of rain. I love rain. Everything is always so fresh and clear after a shower.
Anne, I have a large camelia plant on the side of the house and had forgotten all about it the last few weeks - when I read your post, I ran outside to look -- and there they were, hundreds of little pink buds, just waiting for the perfect moment to blossom. Thank you for reminding me that I need to slow down and admire the beauty surrounding me.
Such a lovely flower and you have an entire tree-full! Our cherry and other flowering trees started blooming before the cold snap and rains - I bet they're very confused.

Anne--I love Camellia, but I can't keep them alive here. What a beautiful picture. Gives me a sense of spring in the air. It's still cold here in PA, snowed last night. The daffodils are fighting the cold and wanting to spread those buds into blooms. Maybe next week. It's supposed to reach the 50s.

Thanks, everybody! The white camellias are doing great, but I'm afraid the red ones aren't going to bloom well this time. We had a couple of freezing nights after the buds started opening. Oh, well, the white ones are going strong and boy, do they smell sweet! :)
Joanne, I'm helping revise a previously published book that's being translated from German! Interesting, detailed, kind of nerve-wracking. lol
